Channelling John Bolton

“It only took 17 months, and multiple Russian and Chinese vetoes, but the Obama Administration has finally concluded that the United Nations has failed on Syria. ‘Failed utterly’ is how Susan Rice, the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., channelled John Bolton last week,” writes the Wall Street Journal (below).

Partially channelled, perhaps, since Susan Rice is NO John Bolton! As Investor's Business Daily recently asked (and answered): “Does anyone know who Ambassador Susan Rice is? Certainly no one remembers anything she has ever said during her more than 3-1/2 years as America's voice within that corrupt nest of vipers in the Turtle Bay section of New York City.”

John Bolton has been warning about Syria and its chemical weapons-stockpile for years now, including during his time at Appeasement Central (aka the State Dept), while Ambassador Susan Rice, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and their cohorts in Congress (e.g., Senator John Kerry, Rep. Nancy Pelosi et al) were busy fawning over Assad Jr., the true reformer.

Mr. Obama’s deep-rooted belief he could charm the pants off of despots like Syria’s Assad, Iran’s Ahmadinejad, Russia’s Putin et al, with his sparkling personality and winning smile, was American foreign policy for the first 2 years of the Obama administration. Today our foreign policy can be summed up by the “Kick Me” sign on our backs.

The Syrian opposition can be forgiven if it asks where the U.S. was when it really needed the help. Now that the opposition is getting arms from others, and has taken the... more here
