Yikes!! Peanut Farmer or UN Fact-Finding Mission
November 16, 2006
Yikes, check out Benny Avni's piece in today's New York Sun, entitled "President Carter Could Lead U.N. Investigation of Israel."
Hard to decide which is worse, Jimmy Carter, the peanut farmer or a UN "fact-finding" mission?! (Probably the peanut farmer...)
My favorite part is Ambassador John Bolton's response, upon being asked about the idea of a council-sponsored fact-finding mission and the establishment of a mechanism to protect civilians in Gaza. His reponse was "No."

"Mr. Netanyahu is one of the most media-savvy politicians on the planet. On Friday he appeared live via video link on 'Real Time with Bill Maher,' taking the host’s alternately sardonic and serious line of questioning with gazelle-like alacrity."
~ Anthony Grant, jourrnalist who has written for many major newspapers and worked in television at Paris and Tel Aviv, interviewing former PM Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, at the outset of Mr. Netanyahu's new book (more here).
