ABOUT THE SPEAKER

"America is asleep to the danger that confronts us," writes Congresswoman Sue Myrick, co-founder of the Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus, in her foreword to the new book, and "[o]ur elected officials, by and large, are ignorant concerning the threat, or are afraid to speak out." A (seemingly) harmless non-profit group, founded in 1994 to serve as a civil rights advocate for U.S. Muslims, is in reality part of a Muslim Brotherhood conspiracy to import deadly jihad and Islamic fanaticism to the shores of America. The group is CAIR (The Council on American-Islamic Relations), and its secret jihadist network remained hidden for over a decade and a half, until a retired counter-terrorism specialist, P. David Gaubatz, organized a small covert team to infiltrate the organization. Gaubatz is a 20-year military veteran who served for 12 years as a Special Agent with the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI).

Gaubatz organized and executed the risky six-month-long operation against CAIR to expose the terrorist-sponsoring organization. His new book, "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America" is the story of how Gaubatz and his son Chris, working undercover as a convert to Islam, gained the trust of CAIR's inner sanctum and, with investigative journalist and co-author Paul Sperry, uncovered the sinister existence of the Muslim Mafia.

During his years of service, Gaubatz held our country's highest clearances (Top Secret/ SCI) and was briefed into several "black projects." He worked counterintelligence and counterterrorism during his military career, and was deployed stateside as well as to several Mideast countries. Soon after his retirement in 1999 from the U.S. Air Force, he returned to federal service as a Federal Agent for OSI. After 9/11, he was hand-picked to attend an intensive one-year Arabic language program at the State Dept’s Foreign Service Institute, and then requested by the U.S. Government to deploy to Saudi Arabia. Upon the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Gaubatz was the first U.S. civilian federal agent deployed into Iraq and while there, led the rescue of the family of Mohammed Al-Rehaief, the Iraqi lawyer who helped rescue POW Army Pfc. Jessica Lynch. Upon returning from Iraq, Gaubatz left federal service and joined the Dallas County Medical Examiners Office as its chief investigator, and helped train the Texas State Troopers and other law enforcement in Arabic culture.
